Air Power Technology The First World War introduced many new technologies but perhaps the most far reaching was the aeroplane. At the outbreak of war, aircraft were to play an increasingly important role in reconnaissance and range-finding for the artillery. In the latter stages of the conflict, their roles included ground attack and long-range bombing.

Sea Power Technology This programme starts with the key sea battle of WWI, The Battle of Jutland in 1916 and ends with a look at the aircraft carrier which made a major breakthrough in 1917 with the first deck landing. |
